Comes from a platform with softer recent reliability. High reinvestment fit: shorter duration keeps capital cycling quickly. Platform reliability score is soft, so sizing discipline matters more.

"text": "Repayment collection delay or repayment collection failures: Repayments may get delayed or even become non-performing due to both external or internal factors. For example, if a distributor falls into any issues such as sudden drop in sales, incurring of a significant loss, a macroeconomic turmoil event occurs, etc. The business may struggle to get their payments on time. This may delay the repayment time or even become non-performing. 📌Chamak’s strategy: The business has been operating in this market for over 2 years. The distributors selected by Chamak are done through an assessment which includes their payment behaviour, background check through local RMs, etc . Moreover, the business only allows very short credit windows e.g. 7, 10 and 15 days. Keeping the credit period under such short windows allows the Chamak to flag any informational/ transactional discrepancies of the distributors. In the event of a non-performing account, Chamak activates a multi-layered recovery process backed by upfront security cheques and verified multi-party references. Local Territory Managers immediately initiate targeted, relationship-driven collections using this pre-secured data. Failure to deliver the required quality of products: In case the business fails to deliver the required quality of products, the distributors may want to opt out of the Murabaha contract. 📌Chamak’s strategy: The purchase orders placed to suppliers by Chamak are only placed after getting confirmation from the distributors. Hence, the chance of not getting the required quality of products is highly unlikely. The model under which Chamak operates gives them this advantage of keeping this risk mitigated to a tolerable level.",

"text": "To ensure Shariah compliance, investors have to share losses (if incurred) according to the total investment amount ratio over the mentioned investment period. For example, if someone invests BDT 10k and the project incurs a loss of 5%, the investor will get back BDT 9.5k. That means that the investors will bear the full loss. The chance of loss can arise from both internal and external factors such as distributor’s sudden drop in sales, significant loss incurred by the distributor, unstable economy, political instability, road accidents, etc may delay the payment.",

While working closely with distributors, I saw how strong businesses were often constrained by short-term working capital gaps, which led me to start Chamak. Today, I am building Chamak as an inventory funding platform that supports real trade by paying suppliers directly and structuring asset-backed, short-term transactions. Over time, my goal is to build a large, unified distribution and trade finance infrastructure that helps distributors and retailers access fast working capital, grow sustainably, and move inventory more efficiently across Bangladesh and beyond.",

"businessDetailsText": "Value Propositions Consistent demand of the service from over 200 enlisted distributors. Short-term financing window allowing the business to minimize repayment delays. Experienced management with significant industry experience and networking. Onboarded over 90 investors into their platform so far. Introduction to the Business Written by Business Chamak is an inventory funding platform that helps FMCG distributors in Bangladesh purchase more inventory from their anchor companies and grow their business through asset-backed trade transactions. Founded in 2023 from Cornell University, USA, we structure short-term, confirmed purchase order linked inventory funding where we pay suppliers directly and charge a small service fee from business buyers. Our model is anchor-led, ultra-short-tenor (mostly around 10 days), and supported by data-driven underwriting to monitor business health and manage risk. Chamak is part of the Accelerating Asia cohort and has received grants from Cornell eLab and Orange Corners. We are now raising funding to scale our Murabaha-based inventory funding and support distributors to buy more inventory and grow faster. We are currently serving over 200 distributors. We also have over 90 active investors in our platform. Office Address: House 1145, Road 10, Avenue 10, Mirpur DOHS, Dhaka - 1216 Explore: LinkedIn FAQ: 💡 Is the business Shariah-compliant? "contractDetailsText": "Duration of Investment The investment is for a period of 4 months, from June 2026 to October 2026. Projected ROI (Return on Investment) Projected ROI: 5.05%-5.21% Projected ROI (annualized): 15.17%-15.65% biniyog.io will be charging investors a 0.24% success fee on the repayment amount. Example: if someone invests BDT 100k in the project, he/she can expect to receive a total of BDT 105.05k-105.21k in October 2026 after deducting the success fee. Contract Condition Beginning of investment: Investors will go into a Mudaraba agreement (profit-loss sharing) with Chamak Solution Limited . It will be a profit-sharing contract, where Chamak Solution Limited will be using the investment amount as working capital to cater purchase order based demands of distributors where Chamak will buy the products from the suppliers and sell it to the distributors under Murabaha contracts. biniyog.io will act as an agent for the investors and collect necessary funds and deposit to the business account of Chamak Solutions Limited. biniyog.io will follow-up with Chamak Solutions Limited to ensure that the funds are being used to cater to that work order and Shariah Compliance is maintained. biniyog.io has proposed a 65:35 (Investor: Business) split of the net profit generated during the usage of funds in the Murabaha contract and Chamak Solutions Limited has agreed to it and investors will get an estimated 15.05%-15.21% annualized ROI (after deducting the mentioned success fee). End of investment: Investors will be eligible to get the principal and profits (if any) from the financed work order within the mentioned investment period. biniyog.io will verify the costs associated with completing the particular work order before calculating the final profit. The principal investment amount along with profit or loss will only be returned to the investor at the end of the investment period. If the business incurs a net loss over this work-order financing, investors will have to share the loss as per the ownership percentage. In case of payment delay by the work order issuer or delay in delivering the project by the business, repayment may get delayed by some time, details mentioned under Business Assessment. ,
